Grandeur in the Highlands
Refurbishing 92 bedrooms in this fabulous 19th Century hotel: Grandeur in the Highlands
First conceived as a ‘hydropathic establishment’ in 1874, the Atholl Palace embodies grandeur in the Highlands, reflecting the height of fashion during the era of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert.
Respecting this rich history while embracing contemporary trends and color palettes, we collaborated with our clients to elevate the hotel, spa, and conference center into a modern haven for today’s discerning guests. Our mission was to enhance the hotel’s splendid setting with elegant interiors that resonate with the grandeur of the Highlands.
Drawing inspiration from the majestic surroundings, we curated a fantastic range of luxurious fabrics, upholstery, and finishes perfectly suited to the architecture and scale of this iconic building. Our meticulous attention to detail ensured that every element, from the opulent curtains to the sumptuous bed throws, contributed to the overall ambiance of sophistication and comfort.
At Ambience Designs, fostering strong partnerships with our clients is paramount. We provided well-informed and honest advice on all aspects of hotel furnishings, ensuring that our collaboration was not only successful but also enriching for both parties involved.
Having been brought in after previous contractors fell short, Ambience Designs embraced the challenge of refurbishing the bedrooms with enthusiasm and expertise. Our extensive knowledge of hotel furniture, room layouts, color schemes, and high-quality fabrics allowed us to deliver exceptional results that exceeded our client’s expectations.
From the exquisite curtains and cushions to the elegant headboards and carpets, Ambience Designs supplied a comprehensive range of soft furnishings and accessories, transforming the Atholl Palace into a luxurious retreat that epitomizes grandeur in the Highlands.
